The heyday of the housing market is over.  If you got in and out you could of made a lot of money.A lot of people did.  But also many people lost money. Those that were not able to get in the market and out of the market fast enough.

But if you are just a normal homeowner but you need to sell now.What will you be able to do?To put it in plain english, homes just aren’t selling like they used to.A lot of homes are sitting on the market for months on end in this market.Well I have a few tricks to help fix that.  I have seen it works first hand from my clients running my San Diego painting contractors. 

What you have to do is make your house look better than all the rest. Keep in mind, when the housing sales were going strong, you could sell anything.  Even if it was ugly.Today it just isn’t like that.  If you don’t want your home to get stuck on the market forever be better than everybody else.Buyers can now be very fickle.They are going to want the best.  So give it to them.By going out and doing some simple improvements in your house like painting it will accomplish just that.

Preparing to Paint Your House

is painting their home.A lot of homeowners enjoy doing things themselves around their house.To them, painting doesn’t seem that hard of a job.

If that is you, I would like to offer as a Painter in San Diego.Hopefully my years of experience will prevent disasters and messes to occur when you do a project like house painting.

First off, you have to pick the correct paint type and of coures the correct paint colors for your home.  Sounds like this goes without saying, but a novice may not know the difference in picking paint for an exterior vs. paint for interior.  Thankfully a lot of home improvement companies have helpful staff to help you out, just like my staff of my San Diego painting company.

Second thing to do is paint preparation.  Surprisingly, the most crucial aspect of painting is not the actual act of painting, but in the preparation of the paint.

The time you invest in properly preparing will show in the quality of your paint and painting job.

So you have to have the room you are going to paint in cleaned out.A room that is cleared makes it real easy to do a good job of painting.

Also, you need to clean the surface when you prepare.  Don’t think just because you are going to paint over everything, the paint will cover it all.A dirty wall is difficult for the paint to cover any stains or blemishes.  This will save you time and money when it is clean because you will need less coats of paint.

Third you will need sandpaper.  Sandpaper will allow you to smooth out any rough surfaces which will help you have a smooth coat of paint.

Fourth, you will want a caulk gun.All walls are far from perfect. It could have cracks on the wood base or trim.  A caulking gun helps you cover it up and make a smooth surface.

As you can see, I provided these tips with the goal of making your paint job go smooth.It helps get rid of the hassles associated with things being in the way.Or having to fix a wall that has blemishes and would need to be painted over.All with the goal of making it an easier job.

Do all this and not only will you be pleased in the outcome but a good quality job will add value to your home.

One of the most precious assets we will ever posess will be our homes.I am not meaning the financial part of it.That is a huge part of it.But what I am talking about is the fact that this is where you call home.  It is the place you live in.It is where your family grow up.  It is a place where you are going to have many fond memories.

With that being the situation, of course people are going to care for it.From home improvement jobs, to just keeping it tidy and in order.One of the things a family can do is paint their home.  I know it is a big deal to families from my experience running my own San Diego painting contractor company.

6 Easy Steps to Painting Your House

So follow these 6 easy steps to make sure you paint your house right.  These steps come from my experience in being a painters San Diego.   So it should be useful and helpful for doing the job right.

Owning a painting San Diego company has helped me prove these steps over and over again.  So follow these steps and witness your home turn into a beautiful home and it’s value improve greatly.

First thing you want to do is prepare the surface.  Unless your house has been through a war, there shouldn’t be too much preparation.  All you will need to do is make sure it is sanded and smoothed.

Second step is priming.  This is an easy stage and the main goal is to use a primer that is tinted close to the finish color.  This makes the job of applying the finish color much easier.

Third step is a surface preparation step once again.  This step is to make certain that you didn’t miss anything on the first go around.  Things such as nail holes, or any other dents or blemishes in the wall.  You are going to be using a drywall compound to have those holes filled.

Fourth step is to apply the first coat of paint.  With this step you want to brush one surface wall at a time. 

Fifth thing to do is doing surface preparation one more time.  You are performing this step to double check the surface one more time so to ensure that the surface is smooth before you put on that last coat of paint.  So again, any blemishes you discover can be fixed easily with a drywall compound.

Final step will be the application of the second coat of paint.  This is the best step because you will see all your hard work come together.  So once more, you are going to paint one wall surface at a time.  Make sure that the coat of paint is distributed evenly. 

Follow all these six steps and you will be pleased with the outcome of your home improvement.  A simple coat of paint can change a drab room into a beautiful addition.
